What is Delta-8 THC

What is Delta-8 THC

Delta-8 THC is an isomer of Delta-9 THC, that can be found in minuscule levels in cannabis::hemp and is commonly manufactured by using a chemical process known as isomerization typically from CBD or Delta-9 THC. All Delta-8 THC products are manufactured by some form of chemical conversion, however the naturally occurring Delta-8 THC that exists in cannabis does not seem to be any more hazardous than any other cannabinoid (cbd, thc, etc).

What are surveyed experiences of Delta-8 THC Consumption

Most participants consumed their delta-8 through edibles, vaped concentrates, and tinctures with most participants reporting a relaxing, pain relief, and euphoric experience. Other consumption methods included smoking or vaping flower, and topical and capsule products.

What are the differences in experience of Delta-8 THC vs Delta-9 THC

On average the participants of the survey reported that the effects of Delta-8 THC were less intense and had a shorter duration that the equivalent Delta-9. This equates to less participants reporting feelings of mild anxiety and paranoia, along with modest levels of cognitive distortion (altered sense of time, short-term memory, concentrating).

What are the dangers of Delta-8 THC products

The danger that most consumers face with Delta-8 THC products is not in the THC but in the chemical processes that the hemp oils have been subjected too. The most important concern in the current un-regulated market is to ensure that your products are reputably sourced, and manufactured. Luckly the consumer will typically have access to the COA or test results of any product that is sold by any reputable brand.
